"WYOMING CATTLE DRIVE"

I'm a cattle drivin' cowboy
who rides 18 wheeler rigs.
My job 's a haulin' cattle....
and it sure beats haulin' pigs
My rig's revved up and roarin';
it's all gassed up and greased.
With a load a' bawlin' cattle,
I'm headin' for the East.

I figure that I'm drivin'
with a ton a' sirloin steaks;
but none a' them 'r for me....
ain't got the dough it takes.
I'll stop somewhere fer coffee
and a chunk a' apple pie,
and dream about them beef steaks
I can't afford t' buy.

Sometimes jus' t' pass the time
I think about the past;
and wish them days were back agin-
and this time, that they'd last.
Sometimes when I'm on the road
it gets t' feelin' real....
my hands are back a'  holdin' reins
and not some steerin' wheel.

And I'm back upon a saddle
and not this driver's seat.
I'm a' flyin' not on 18 wheels
but on some horses feet.
I've got an air conditioned rig
and soft upholstered seat;
and outside it's a' blisterin' hell
and folks 'r wiltin' in the heat.

I've got a bed inside the cab.
It's comfortable, of course...
but still I 'd chuck the lot a' it
t' be back on a horse.
I'm a cattle drivin' trucker;
but I wish that I could be
back on the range a herdin' steers
with a good horse under me.
