TEXAS
NEXUS
He's got a Texas nexus
that troubles me.
I wonder what's in Texas
that I can't see.
I wonder what her name is
and what she's got.
He's always liked his chili
just a tad bit hot.
That man is like the drifting wind
that shifts like sand
that comes and goes
along the muddy Rio Grande.
Though it might stray a long way
from its Texas tracks
there's something down in Texas
that draws it back.
There's no way I could hope to hold
the Texas wind.
It can't be held. It can't be tied.
It can't be pinned.
Its got a Texas nexus
and by now I know,
there's not a thing that I can do
but let it blow.
