HENPECKED
HENRY
Didn’t
care that it was risky.
I was feelin' purty frisky,
so I stopped by Joe’s for whisky…
that I did!
It was risky cuz’ she told me
that she’d never more enfold me…
and I knew at least she’d scold me
if I did.
Joe's Saloon is alway swingin'
and there's always cowboys singin'
and t'night I feel lke flingin'
like a kid.
Like I did befoe I met her-
before she taught me better,
and like a sheep, I let her-
God forbid!!
All my cowboy crowd, I'll see there-
and there’ll be a lot of glee there;
so tonight I’m gonna be there
with them
pokes.
It’s not as if I’d shaft her.
It’s just that I like laughter;
and at Joe’s, they rock the rafter
with their jokes.
T'night I'm feeling plucky;
and I'm thinkin' if I'm lucky-
my ding dong danged ol' ducky's
gonna choke.
I’ll end up purty stinkin’
and I’ll pay fer it, I’m thinkin’;
but t’ night I’ll spend a drinkin’
with them folk.
Come t’morrow she might leave me'.…
but y' know what's gonna grieve me?
With the price a' drinks believe me-
I'll be broke!!!
FILL HER UP, BARTENDER!!
